Event recap: HBACA’s Turn the Tables

APBS Sales Manager Darryn Edestrand recently attended HBACA’s Turn the Tables, a business development and networking event held annually in May.

“The HBACA Turn the Tables event had great attendance from building material suppliers like APBS, who in turn had full access to speak to builders and developers from the greater Phoenix area. There were large national home builders there along with regional and local builders. It was set up like speed dating where you had the opportunity to briefly speak to the purchasing managers from each builder as you moved from table to table. You were able to choose which builders you wanted to speak to, which makes sense because suppliers sometimes do not serve every level of building.

The audience for this event was geared towards production home builders and developers. While this is not APBS’s sweet spot, we wanted to speak with builders in this category that provide upgrade options in their higher-end communities, which for us is Big Doors. Outdoor living—and the extension of your home inside-to-out—is a hot topic for many home buyers. APBS can provide the value of the product, installation, and back it with an industry-leading warranty so we felt that attending this event would be meaningful. We had the opportunity to speak with five builders at this event that fit into the upgrade option and have shared information with them on our doors. It was a great event.”

2024 Andersen “Bright Ideas” Awards

The 2024 Andersen Bright Ideas Awards, powered by Dwell, celebrates spaces that strike the perfect balance, where natural light adds depth, dimension, and texture, while maintaining a gentle, golden glow. The competition is open to licensed architects, builders, contractors, or other design/build professionals and firms in the U.S.

The 2024 awards will honor newly completed residential projects in two categories: single-family and multi-family. Each category will have one winner that exhibits excellence in fenestration and daylighting.

The winning projects do not need to include Andersen windows or doors, or be a certain shape, style, or size. And, if you have submitted in years past, you are welcome to reenter.

Submissions are due by 10pm PT on Friday, July 12, 2024. Click below to learn more and enter today!
